The digital transformation: How firms are embracing cloud computing

Businesses of all sizes and across all industries are increasingly embracing cloud computing technology, and the contact centre sector is no different.

The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) conducted a wide-ranging survey to answer these questions and learn more about businesses' attitudes to the cloud.

The study revealed that cloud is an integral part of many enterprises' digital transformation strategies. Organisations using these solutions reported that it has helped them to save time, reduce running costs gain competitive advantage and achieve a whole host of other tangible and intangible benefits. What's more, those businesses that don’t use cloud are placed at a distinct disadvantage.

One key highlight, is that, in 2011 only around half of UK companies operated a cloud environment, but by 2015, this was up to 84 per cent.
